Christmas 2021: Reverse advent calendar

5th November 2021

The North Enfield Foodbank’s Reverse Advent Calendar is the perfect way to give to those in need, this Christmas.

We all know how an advent calendar works, where you receive a chocolate or a gift each day leading up to Christmas… Well how about an advent calendar ‘in reverse’ – where you get to give something each day instead?

This festive idea has been inspired by the Trussell Trust, enabling local communities to give to those most in need, in the run up to Christmas.

To take part in our reverse advent calendar collection all you have to do is use the Reverse advent calendar 2021 here to collect and donate our 24 most needed items, starting in November and running it until Friday 3rd December 2021.

If you are unable to get any of the items, you can simply replace anything you can’t get hold of with an item of your choice. The 24 items that you are able to donate, will then become Christmas food parcels for those in crisis in Enfield.

Our team will be at our foodbank centre ready to receive these donations during our opening hours, but you can also donate these items, by placing them in the donation bins at any of our supermarket collection points. We can also accept these items any time before this date – so feel free to donate earlier if you can!

We’re so grateful to the Enfield community for the continued support of our Foodbank, without our local community we wouldn’t have been able to have feed the 11,800+ people that have needed our help, so far this year.

Our Christmas appeal poster can be found here: Christmas 2021 appeal
